Russia ready to honor its obligations to supply fertilizers, energy — Putin

He also noted that Russia continues to provide humanitarian assistance to many countries in need

MOSCOW, June 24. /TASS/. As always, Russia is ready to honor its obligations to provide energy, farm produce and fertilizers, President Vladimir Putin said in a video address at the BRICS Plus summit on Friday.

"I would like to stress that Russia is a major world food market participant, aware of its responsibility. It goes without saying that we are ready to diligently adhere to all of our contractual obligations to provide farm produce, fertilizers, energy and other critically important products," Putin said.

He also drew attention to the fact that "Russia continues to provide humanitarian assistance to many countries in need."

"In particular, Russian food consignments were recently delivered free of charge to Lebanon, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Cuba, Sudan and some other countries," Putin said.
