MOSCOW, June 10. /TASS/. Russia and Turkmenistan will deepen cooperation in the energy sector, including in the development of oil and gas fields, says a joint declaration by the countries' leaders, Vladimir Putin and Serdar Berdimuhamedov, signed at their talks in Moscow on Friday.
"The parties noted the positive dynamics of cooperation on energy, in particular, higher level of interaction between the oil and gas companies of the two countries, and will make joint efforts to deepen cooperation between them in the field of geological exploration and development of oil and gas fields, exchange of experience and training in the oil and gas industry," the document says.
The parties also expressed their readiness to increase cooperation within the framework of projects to improve energy efficiency, build new and upgrade existing power generation facilities in Turkmenistan.
