MOSCOW, March 6. /TASS/. The current financial and logistical situation didn’t affect Norilsk Nickel’s production and sales, the company said in an address to its employees on Telegram on Sunday.
"We are living in hard times," it said. "Changes have affected literally every aspect of the company’s activity: We have encountered global financial instability, turbulence in our traditional markets, serious constraints in logistics."
"Despite the unprecedented new challenges, Norilsk Nickel continues to work at all locations," the address went on to say. "We are mining ore, producing and selling metals, continuing the implementation of investment programs."
"In this difficult situation, the main thing for us is to ensure continuity of production, regular payment of salaries and unfailing compliance with all our social commitments," the address continued.
"Norilsk Nickel produces metals for key high-tech industries, the green economy, helps to fulfil people’s hopes for development and makes the world more reliable," the company said. "We believe in our peaceful future".
