Hainan launches video on Sanya's successes on the eve of the Communist Party's centenary

HAIKOU, April 8. /TASS/. On the eve of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese Communist Party, Hainan published a video about the achievements of Sanya, a leading resort in China and a dynamically developing new financial center of the island. This 100-second video was shown on the Chinese central TV channels.

Among the main successes achieved by Sanya in the implementation of the government's strategy for Hainan's free trade port is the alleviation of poverty and the creation of a solid stratum of the middle class. As specified in the video, at the same time, the city has noticeably strengthened its scientific potential, making a breakthrough in the field of deep-sea research and advanced developments, including in the implementation of projects to manage large amounts of data and the introduction of smart industrial technologies.

Moreover, the video mentions the achievements related to the breeding of varietal seeds, which are in high demand in many regions of China, where there are no optimal climatic conditions for plant breeding. The video also mentions the Yazhouwan Technopark — about 450 innovative enterprises have already been registered there, investments in fixed assets of which, according to official data, in 2020 exceeded 9 billion yuan (more than $ 1.3 billion at the current exchange rate).

As one can see from the short but informative video material, Sanya is an ideal place to relax, as the air here is absolutely clean 360 days a year. This is facilitated by the abundance of green spaces: the territory of the city is 69% covered with forests and forest parks.

Sanya is one of the key centers of economic development on Hainan, a significant part of its income comes from the service sector. The island's administration plans to transform this city, with about 670,000 residents, into a leading financial and economic center with advanced infrastructure. The headquarters of large Chinese and foreign companies will be located there. In terms of welfare, it already ranks first among all other administrative-territorial units of the southernmost province of China.
