MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. CEO of Russian State Nuclear Energy Corporation Rosatom Alexey Likhachev informed International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi about increased Ukrainian attacks on the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP) and subsequent measures being taken to protect the facility.
"We thoroughly informed the esteemed IAEA delegation about measures that are being taken to ensure the unconditional protection of the Zaporozhye NPP, in terms of both nuclear safety and nuclear security," he said after talks with Grossi.
According to Likhachev, "the risk of Ukrainian attacks is growing."
"We see this in the number of downed drones and missiles, in the number of shelling attacks that target the immediate vicinity of the ZNPP, and this causes concern," the Rosatom chief said.
