MINSK, November 28. /TASS/. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko believes that the Collective Security Treaty Organization can and should create a mechanism to control new lethal types of weapons.
"In our opinion, the CSTO can and should be at the forefront of efforts to create a common legal and contractual framework that will ensure a regulatory regime for such weaponry in the future. This needs to be done now. At least, we should start," Lukashenko said, according to the BelTA news agency, citing his statement made in Nur-Sultan at the CSTO summit in a limited format.
According to the Belarusian president, "new lethal types of weapons" are on the horizon, capable of destroying all of humanity. He pointed out that the arsenal now includes laser, hypersonic, quantum, electromagnetic, and other advanced technologies.
