MOSCOW, March 11. /TASS/. No unclassified, publicly accessible decrees on replacing the commander-in-chief of the Russian Navy have been published, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said at a briefing.
"There are some classified decrees and I cannot comment on them," he noted, when asked for his reaction to media reports about the dismissal of Russian Navy Commander-in-Chief Admiral Nikolay Yevmenov. "There are no open [unclassified] decrees on the matter that are intended for publication [and public release]," Peskov added.
Earlier, a number of media outlets and Telegram channels, including the Izvestia daily and the Fontanka news website, reported Admiral Yevmenov’s dismissal. The news outlets claimed that Northern Fleet Commander Admiral Alexander Moiseyev would serve as the interim commander-in-chief of the Navy. The Russian Defense Ministry has not confirmed the dismissal of the Navy’s commander-in-chief.
