US asks to convene UN Security Council on North Korea on May 11

According to the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of South Korea, on May 7, North Korea launched one short-range ballistic missile towards the Sea of Japan

UNITED NATIONS, May 9. /TASS/. The United States sent a request to hold a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on May 11 on the situation with North Korea’s missile tests, a source in the organization told TASS on Monday.

"The US has requested a meeting late in the afternoon on Wednesday," the source said.

According to the Committee of the Chiefs of Staff of South Korea, on May 7, North Korea launched one short-range ballistic missile towards the Sea of Japan. It flew about 600 km, the maximum flight altitude was 60 km.
