TEL AVIV, July 23, 2:33 /ITAR-TASS/. Palestinian radicals fired more than 90 missiles at Israel over the past 24 hours, the press service of the Israeli army told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
The press service said that about 70 missiles exploded in Israel’s territory, one of them - in a school courtyard in the city of Ashdod. Eighteen missiles were intercepted by Israel’s missile-defence system, while several missiles failed to reach the Israeli territory and exploded inside the Gaza Strip.
Since July 8, 2014, when the Israel Defense Forces launched the Protective Edge operation in the Gaza Strip, Hamas and Islamic Jihad militants have fired more than 2,100 missiles at Israel.
