MINSK, November 5. /TASS/. A Ukrainian battlegroup of about 15,000 troops with vehicles, including special operations forces and the National Guard of Ukraine, has been deployed on the Belarusian border, says Deputy Chief of the Belarusian General Staff Major General Vladimir Kupriyanyuk.
"A significant Ukrainian army battlegroup of about 15,000 people has amassed in the direct proximity of the Belarusian border. A system of defensive barriers, areas and positions has been built and is being constantly improved in the regions adjacent to Belarus. Special operations units with vehicles from the special operation forces and the National Guard of Ukraine have been deployed at the border itself," the official said in an interview with the Belarusian Military Newspaper.
According to Kupriyanyuk, "reconnaissance operations of all kinds continue against Belarus, including mobile signals intelligence teams and drones."
"Provocative and demonstrative actions are being systematically carried out against Belarusian forces deployed in the border area," he added.
