Trump says US consults with North Korea, may meet with Kim Jong Un

The US President called relations with the leader of North Korea excellent

WASHINGTON, April 1. /TASS/. US President Donald Trump said that Washington maintains communication channels with North Korea and admitted that at some point he may personally communicate with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

"We (Trump and Kim Jong Un - TASS) have a great relationship. And there is communication," Trump told reporters at the White House. "Yes, I will probably do something at some point," he added.

"It started off very rough, very nasty, little rocket man (the nickname Trump gave Kim Jong Un during his first presidential term - TASS). The whole thing was a nasty deal. And then one day we got a call that they'd like to meet. We met," the US leader recalled.
