Resumption of aid to Kiev depends on willingness to seek peace, minerals deal — US envoy

Keith Kellogg noted that the Washington administration would like to know how serious Ukraine was "to get to peace discussions"

WASHINGTON, March 6. /TASS/. The resumption of US military assistance to Ukraine depends on whether Kiev is ready to resolve the crisis and sign a minerals deal with Washington, US Presidential Envoy for Ukraine and Russia Keith Kellogg said at an event hosted by the US Council on Foreign Relations.

According to him, US President Donald Trump has made it clear that currently, it’s about just a pause in military aid.

"My personal belief would be, you don't move forward until you get a signed document. Period. When we get a signed precious metals deal. And we had an option to do that when I was in Ukraine, and they didn't do it," Kellogg pointed out.
