MINSK, February 4. /TASS/. Belarus has voluntarily notified the countries of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) about a surprise combat readiness check in the republic’s army, Head of the Department of International Military Cooperation of the Belarusian Defense Ministry Valery Revenko stated.
"Belarus has voluntarily notified the OSCE states about the surprise combat readiness check conducted in the country’s armed forces. The republic reported the objectives, timing, and number of participants in the check, as well as other information aimed at ensuring the openness of military activities," he wrote on his X page.
On Monday, the Belarusian Defense Ministry announced the beginning of combat readiness checks in the republic's troops. According to the ministry's chief Viktor Khrenin, the inspection will test new ways of using reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial systems.
