CHISINAU, November 12. /TASS/. The Moldovan police have reported a third downed drone found in three days. The drone was found in the settlement of Cosernita 20 km away from Chisinau.
"The police discovered a drone on the outskirts of Cosenita," the General Police Inspectorate said on its Telegram channel, adding that investigators and bomb squads are working at the scene.
Previously, the police reported that two downed drones were found on November 10 - one in the northern part of Moldova and one in the southern part. The police published photos of the drones, which were made from cardboard and not equipped with any explosives. On the same day, the Moldovan Foreign Ministry blamed Russia for violating its airspace, calling it an "unfriendly gesture," and raised this issue during the meeting with Russian envoy Oleg Ozerov today. The diplomat refuted the allegations, calling them groundless, since the drone’s origin has not been determined. He also underscored that in all previous cases, when Chisinau accused Russia after alleged drone discoveries, they turned out to be fragments of Ukrainian air defense munitions.
Moldova has repeatedly accused Russia of sending drones into the country, fragments of which it alleges were discovered on Moldovan territory, although most of them were identified as fragments of Ukrainian air defense missiles. Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Chisinau’s allegations of airspace violation by Russian drones groundless and categorically rejected them.
