Washington denies plans to meddle in Russia’s presidential election — news agency

The White House source called these accusations "categorically false" and "nothing more than propaganda"

WASHINGTON, March 12./TASS/. The US administration denies that it plans to make attempts to meddle in Russia’s presidential election, Reuters reported citing a White House spokesperson.

The press service of the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service said on Monday that the United States, through leading IT specialists, is planning to carry out cyberattacks on the system of remote e-voting in the Russian presidential election. The Foreign Intelligence Service added that at Washington's behest, calls for Russian citizens to ignore the election are being circulated through opposition Internet resources.

Reuters quoted the White House source as calling these accusations "categorically false" and "nothing more than propaganda".

Russia’s Federation Council, or upper house of parliament, has scheduled the presidential election for March 17, 2024. Voting will take place over three days - on March 15, 16 and 17. Thus, it will be the first three-day election for Russia’s president.
