"Finland and Sweden's accession to NATO is the latest stage of expansion to the east. Bosnia and Herzegovina, Moldova, Georgia, Serbia will be dragged into the alliance. And all this will follow the Ukraine scenario," Lukashenko said at a meeting with the senior staff of state bodies of the national security system, BelTA informs.
According to him, there is nothing to be optimistic about. "The appetites and activity of the collective West will only increase. Washington and its allies will continue to expand NATO. The situation is more than favorable for them," the president noted. "I want to be clear, without any unnecessary diplomacy: almost all European leaders have become subjects of the US. Their policy, their interests dominate in the EU."
Lukashenko noted that Belarus is actually "at the epicenter of a protracted major military-political crisis with the use of ages-old methods of intimidation." He recalled how the games with Ukrainian leaders in "partnership" politics ended. "The formation of a layer of change agents for the subsequent change to a pro-Western military and political orientation. And war. Now Ukraine is being played the same way," Lukashenko said. "The vague prospect of membership in the bloc is successfully used by Western curators to motivate and push the Kiev authorities to continue hostilities."
