Five Arab ministers to meet with US secretary of state in Jordan on November 4, 2023

The Arab ministers will then hold a joint meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, where they will "reaffirm the Arab stance, which calls for an immediate ceasefire and the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza"

BEIRUT, November 4. /TASS/. Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister Ayman Safadi has said the country will host a meeting of foreign ministers from Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, and the secretary of the executive committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization on November 4.

"It will be a coordinating meeting in the context of efforts to end the Israeli war in the Gaza Strip and beyond, which has caused a humanitarian disaster," the official was quoted as saying by Al Mamlaka television.

The Arab ministers will then hold a joint meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, where they will "reaffirm the Arab stance, which calls for an immediate ceasefire and the urgent delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza."

"Discussion will be given to the consequences of the conflict and ways to solve the problem, as well as the necessary steps to put an end to the deteriorating situation that threatens the security of the entire region," said Safadi, who is also Jordan’s foreign minister.

Blinken will arrive in Jordan from Israel, where he said he proposed to Israeli authorities concrete steps to minimize casualties among Palestinian civilians in the Gaza Strip. As the secretary of state stated, the administration of US President Joe Biden believes that more must be done to protect civilians in the Gaza Strip, or Israel will not have a partner for peace.
