Kerimov transfers his stake in Polyus to Foundation for Support of Islamic Organizations

Polyus ranks first among the world's gold mining companies in terms of gold reserves and fourth in terms of production

MOSCOW, May 13. /TASS/. Said Kerimov transferred 100% of Wandle Holdings Limited, through which he owned 46.35% of Polyus gold mining company, to the Foundation for the Support of Islamic Organizations, Polyus said in a statement.

"As a result of this donation, Said Kerimov no longer has a direct or indirect economic interest or ownership in the company," the statement said.

Currently, the foundation indirectly owns 46.35% of Polyus through Wandle Holdings Limited. Akhmet Palankoev owns 29.99% of the authorized capital of Polyus. The company's management owns 0.94% of the shares of Polyus. The remaining 22.25% are in free float on the Moscow Exchange in the form of local shares and on the London Stock Exchange in the form of depositary receipts.

Polyus ranks first among the world's gold mining companies in terms of gold reserves and fourth in terms of production. The main enterprises of the company are located in the Krasnoyarsk, Irkutsk, and Magadan regions, as well as in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
