WASHINGTON, October 7. /TASS/. US leader Donald Trump said he could have pursued legal action against former US Presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama and former Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton but decided not to do so.
"I've had my shot and still do at Biden, at Hillary Clinton, and Barack Hussein Obama," Trump pointed out. "I could have done very, very bad things to Joe Biden. I could have done very bad things to Barack Hussein Obama. I thought it was inappropriate to do so because you have to treat the office of the presidency with respect," Trump told reporters. He is a Republican, while Obama, Biden and Clinton are Democrats.
Trump said people around him had urged him to pursue legal action against them. "I’ve had plenty of people say, ‘Let’s go get him,’ and I said, ‘No, you can’t do that to the presidency,’" he noted.
Trump won the US presidential election for a second time in November 2024, defeating Democratic candidate Kamala Harris. He previously served as president from 2017 to 2021 after defeating Clinton in the 2016 election.
