DONETSK, June 13. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military fired six shells at Donetsk on Sunday evening, the mission of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) to the Joint Center for Ceasefire Coordination and Control (JCCC) said.
"At 23:36, six shells of 152 mm caliber were fired from Avdeyevka towards Donetsk (Kievsky district)," the mission says.
Kievsky district stretches from the central part of Donetsk to its northern outskirts. From the very beginning of the conflict in Donbass, this part of the city, where important transport facilities were located - the railway station, airport, highways - was one of the most frequently shelled. After the escalation of Kiev’s aggression in February this year, the situation in the region worsened, shelling by Ukrainian formations leads to numerous casualties among civilians.
