Bomb threats target flight from Moscow, three shopping malls, zoo in Serbia

All bomb threats turned out to be false

BELGRADE, May 11. /TASS/. A message about a bomb aboard the flight from Moscow came to Belgrade’s Nikola Tesla Airport on Wednesday, and the police bomb squad has been searching the airliner for 3.5 hours, one of the passengers told TASS.

In addition, the Kurir daily reported that bomb threats were received by three shopping malls in the Serbian capital and by the Belgrade Zoo, which have been evacuated. Police are searching the locations.

On April 18, four shopping malls were evacuated in Serbia, including Galerija Belgrade, Europe's largest mall, over bomb threats, which all turned out to be false. Later, 23 schools in Belgrade were sent bomb threats.

Belgrade Airport has repeatedly received hoax bomb threats targeting Air Serbia’s Belgrade-Moscow and Belgrade - St. Petersburg flights, which had to return to the departure airports for checks. Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that the messages had been sent from Ukraine and Poland.
