In particular, Slovak Prime Minister will offer the Kiev authorities to start exporting wheat and other grains by rail through Slovakia

PRAGUE, April 8. /TASS/. Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen arrived in Ukraine to meet with President Vladimir Zelensky, the head of the Slovak Cabinet announced on Friday on his Facebook page (a social media site banned in Russia since it is owned by Meta corporation deemed extremist by Russian authorities - TASS).

"Ursula von der Leyen and I have already arrived in Ukraine. For a meeting with President Vladimir Zelensky and Prime Minister Denis Shmygal I’ve prepared specific proposals for assisting Ukraine," Heger said.

In particular, he will offer the Kiev authorities to start exporting wheat and other grains by rail through Slovakia. The sides would also discuss increasing humanitarian aid. The prime minister intends to assure Zelensky of Bratislava's support for the implementation of Ukraine's plans to join the European Union.

In mid-March, Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Jansa and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki met with Zelensky in the Ukrainian capital.
