MOSCOW, February 7. /TASS/. Russian football club Spartak has signed Levi Garcia of Trinidad and Tobago to a contract, the club’s press office said in a statement on Friday.
Garcia’s deal is for three and a half years. At 18.7 million euros (almost $19.3 million), his transfer fee is the biggest ever paid by Russia’s Spartak Moscow, according to the Transfermarkt website.
Garcia, 27, previously played for AEK Athens FC, winning the 2023 Greek championship in 2023.
This past season, he scored ten goals and had three assists in 22-match appearances for the Greek club.
First appearing for Trinidad and Tobago in 2016, the Trinidadian striker scored eight goals and dished out nine assists in 43-match appearances for the national squad.
Throughout its 101-year history, Spartak Moscow FC has been a 12-time USSR champion and ten-time champion of Russia. The team is the winner of numerous other awards and trophies.
