Tatarstan seeks Chinese experience in soil amelioration and equipment supply potential

The republic's enterprises increasingly prefer Chinese equipment

KAZAN, 14 November. /TASS/. Tatarstan's agricultural industry is interested in equipment supplies from China, as well as its experience in agricultural land improvement, Minister of Agriculture and Food Marat Zyabbarov told TASS at the 2nd International Forum Rostki: Russia and China - Mutually Beneficial Cooperation.

"We have already done a lot of joint work today. On deliveries from China of various equipment to our enterprises. <…> Agricultural equipment, processing equipment, machinery, technologies. Today, many companies, practically all those who are modernizing, renovating, building, first of all study Chinese equipment," Zyabbarov said.

He noted that the republic's enterprises are increasingly preferring Chinese equipment. "More suitable for us, because there are service centers, maintenance. These aspects are fairly well developed in our republic, in Russia," the minister said.

The republic is also studying China's experience in land reclamation. This topic was also discussed on the sidelines of the forum. "There is something to study, something to see. Now we will form delegations, working groups, send companies, so that business and business communicate," said Zyabbarov.

The minister mentioned cereals, sunflower oil and confectionery as the most popular exports.

The International Forum Rostki: Russia and China - Mutually Beneficial Cooperation will be held in Kazan on 13-15 November. The Forum's business program includes 70 sessions on trade, investment, technology, logistics, petrochemicals, agriculture, education, tourism and other topics.
