Acclaimed British actor’s nephew gets Russian citizenship among other foreign journalists

It is noted that one can find various stories written by Rory Suchet on the RT website, including a report on the situation in Donbass in 2014

MOSCOW, October 24. /TASS/. Several foreign journalists working in Russia have been granted Russian citizenship, according to a decree by President Vladimir Putin made public on Monday.

Among them is Rory Suchet, nephew of British actor David Suchet, famous for his role as Agatha Christie’s detective Hercule Poirot. One can find various stories written by Rory Suchet on the RT website, including a report on the situation in Donbass in 2014.

Sports journalist Martin Alvarez has also obtained Russian citizenship. In an interview a few years ago, he admitted that at first he was just traveling, coming to Russia for three months, but eventually decided to stay. Brazilian sports journalist Fabio Aleixo, who worked with Sport Express among other news outlets, has also become a Russian citizen.

Lastly, Michael Ronald Kravchenko, a Briton who took part in the Dom-2 reality TV show in 2005, will receive a Russian passport.
