LPR’s Supreme Court sentences Aidar battalion’s mortar operator to 8 years in jail

The court found him guilty of participation in a terrorist organization

LUGANSK, May 20. /TASS/. The Supreme Court of the Lugansk People’s Republic has handed an eight-year prison sentence to a mortar operator of Ukraine’s nationalist battalion Aidar, Alexey Morozov, the Lugansk Media Center said on Friday.

Morozov was investigated by the Lugansk People’s Republic’s State Security Ministry. The court found him guilty of participation in a terrorist organization.

Morozov jointed the 24th separate assault battalion Aidar voluntarily. He participated in combat operations in June 2017-October 2019.
