LUGANSK, February 26. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops continue attacks near the city of Gulyaipole in the Zaporozhye Region, but Russian forces repel these attacks and move forward, military expert Andrey Marochko told TASS.
"As for Gulyaipole: the situation here is developing dynamically. The enemy never stops trying to regain its lost positions. Serious fighting continues near the settlement of Ternovatoye. Our forces are rebuffing enemy attacks near Verkhnyaya Tersa," he said.
According to Marochko, despite regular attacks by Ukrainian troops, Russian forces are advancing in the Gulyapole area. "There is progress along River Zherebets near the settlement of Zaliznichnoye southeast of Gulyaipole. We have a number of territorial gains in the Zaliznichnoye-Mirnoye section: our forces are mopping up the area and advancing westwards," he said.
On Tuesday, Marochko told TASS that Russian forces were eliminating Ukrainian units near Verkhnyaya Tersa in the Zaporozhye Region.
