MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. There are currently no plans for Russian President Vladimir Putin to communicate with US Special Presidential Envoy Steve Witkoff or Turkish officials, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters.
"There are no specific plans for that," he said, when asked if there were plans for Putin’s communication with Witkoff or Turkish officials following their talks with Vladimir Zelensky.
Zelensky announced earlier that he would visit Turkey on November 19 to "reinvigorate negotiations" on resolving the Ukraine conflict. According to him, Ukraine has developed some solutions that it will present to its partners. Also, in Zelensky’s words, Kiev seeks to resume prisoner exchanges. However, Zelensky did not specify who he would hold talks with in Turkey.
Meanwhile, Reuters reported, citing a Turkish source, that US Special Presidential Envoy for Peace Missions Steve Witkoff planned to travel to Turkey on November 19 to take part in talks with Zelensky.
