MOSCOW, July 3. /TASS/. The Kaliningrad Region holds a position of strategic importance for Russia and remains a recurring focus for both President Vladimir Putin and the government, according to Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
"Kaliningrad is a key element in the daily responsibilities of the Russian president," Peskov stated. "It is a vital region with a unique geographical location. Due to its challenging environment, it requires special attention and support from the federal authorities," he emphasized.
The development of the region is an ongoing priority. Peskov highlighted that efforts encompass a wide range of initiatives, including infrastructure supply, regional development programs, and financial support. "The Kaliningrad region consistently remains on the agenda of both the president and the Russian government," he affirmed.
