Stubb pulls Lavrov aside to talk on sidelines of UNGA — Russian deputy foreign minister

According to Alexander Alimov, the so-called isolationists and those who accuse Moscow of all mortal sins, also sought contact with the Russian delegation

MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Finnish President Alexander Stubb pulled Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov aside to tell him something on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Alimov said at a news conference following the Russian delegation’s participation in the High-Level Week of the 81st session of the UN General Assembly.

"We do not close ourselves off from dialogue with Western countries either. The meeting with [US Secretary of State Marco] Rubio has already been mentioned. The so-called isolationists, those who accuse us of all mortal sins, also sought contact with us. Finnish President Stubb had a so-called ‘pull-aside’ meeting with Minister Lavrov about something, while it turned out that he had also signed some kind of drone agreement with [Vladimir] Zelensky on the [UNGA] sidelines," Alimov said.
