Fortunes of richest Russians down $23 bln year-to-date — Bloomberg

Mikhail Prokhorov nursed the heaviest losses in the reporting period, with his fortune losing $6.22 bln to $10.4 bln

MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. The fortunes of Russia's richest businessmen fell by $23.599 bln since the beginning of 2026, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which is calculated on the basis of the cost of companies’ shares among other factors.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Mikhail Prokhorov nursed the heaviest losses in the reporting period, with his fortune losing $6.22 bln to $10.4 bln. Norilsk Nickel president Vladimir Potanin lost $4.28 bln, bringing his fortune to $22.1 bln, the fortune of shareholder of Russia’s largest iron ore producer Metalloinvest Alisher Usmanov decreased by $2.69 bln to $16.6 bln, while NLMK board chairman Vladimir Lisin lost $2.62 bln to $21.1 bln. The fortune of Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov (placed on the list of terrorists and extremists by Russia's Federal Financial Monitoring Service, or Rosfinmonitoring) fell by $2.56 bln, which brings his fortune to $11.8 bln.

The founder of Severstal Alexey Mordashov has earned $1.51 bln since the beginning of this year, bringing his fortune to $27.8 bln. The fortune of the founder of Ural Mining & Metallurgical Company Iskandar Makhmudov has increased by $151 mln to $8.03 bln. Dmitry Rybolovlev and Mikhail Fridman have earned $131 mln and $119 mln, respectively, bringing their fortunes to $9.9 bln and $10.2 bln.

Since March 2012, the agency has been publishing the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, which includes information on the wealth of the 500 richest people on the planet.
