Russian President Vladimir Putin has received an invitation to attend the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit, scheduled to take place in Shenzhen on November 18-19. A meeting between Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping on the sidelines of the event is also possible, Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said at a news briefing.

"President Vladimir Putin has an invitation to attend the APEC summit in Shenzhen this November, and a dialogue with the Chinese President on the sidelines of the event is also possible," she said.
