MOSCOW, October 1. /TASS/. Russian conscripts will not be deployed to the zone of the special military operation, Yevgeny Burdinsky, chief of the main mobilization directorate of the Russian General Staff, said.

"I would like to stress once again: military personnel serving under conscription will not be deployed to carry out combat mission of the special military operation in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, the Kherson and Zaporozhye Regions, and in the territory of Ukraine," he said in an interview with Krsanaya Zvezda.

According to Burdinsky, Russian forces in the zone of the special military operation are staffed with contract servicemen. "Currently, units and military formations carrying out tasks as part of the special military operation are staffed by citizens who have signed contracts for military service," he said.
