MOSCOW, March 21. /TASS/. Ukrainian troops are "clinging" onto Chasov Yar, recognizing that this settlement is an important elevated position and control over it will allow Russian forces to advance in several directions, Donetsk People's Republic’s head Denis Pushilin told reporters.

He earlier reported that the fighting continues in Chasov Yar, as Ukrainian servicemen are moving reinforcements to this section of the line of engagement.

"We see that the enemy 'clung' to Chasov Yar, realizing that this settlement is located on elevated ground, the dominant height, and in the future our units will have operational space in terms of advancing in a number of directions: to Kramatorsk, to Slavyansk, to Konstantinovka, so, of course, the enemy is impeded. But nevertheless, we see our troops advancing in practically all areas," Pushilin said.
