"The president will have quite a busy foreign policy agenda in December," he noted. "Minsk will host a meeting of the Supreme State Council of the Union State of Russia and Belarus on December 6. It will be dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Treaty on the Establishment of the Union State, which was signed on December 8, 1999," Ushakov added.
Dmitry Mezentsev, state secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus, said earlier that the Supreme Council would consider proposals aimed at implementing provisions of the Union State Treaty and the strategy of the Union State’s common research and technology space, as well as at improving transport infrastructure. According to Mezentsev, the Supreme State Council’s draft decree for the first time includes issues related to cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
