MOSCOW, March 19. /TASS/. Moscow calls for an early cessation of hostilities in the Middle East, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

"Moscow is seriously concerned about the ongoing armed confrontation in the Gulf area and the risks of further escalation," the statement reads. "We call for an early cessation of hostilities, which are the result of unprovoked aggression against Iran by the US and Israel," the ministry added.
