BREST, November 21. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has arrived in Brest for a two-day working visit. The plane of the top Russian diplomat landed at the city airport, a TASS correspondent reported.
Upon arrival, Lavrov was met by his Belarusian counterpart Maxim Ryzhenkov and other officials. The Russian foreign minister will take part in a regular joint meeting of Russian and Belarusian foreign ministries collegiums.
Lavrov will also hold an official meeting with Ryzhenkov. The sides will exchange views on topical bilateral issues and the international agenda. They will pay special attention to diplomatic efforts within the Union State.
In addition, Lavrov will visit the Brest Hero Fortress memorial complex and lay flowers at the monument to the defenders of the fortress.
