Russian, Lebanese diplomats call for peaceful solution to Lebanon-Israel conflict

"The parties exchanged views on the current situation with regard to the escalation in the Lebanon-Israel conflict," the statement reads

MOSCOW, November 8. /TASS/. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Fomin and Lebanese Ambassador to Moscow Shawki Bou Nassar have held a meeting, highlighting the need to resolve the Lebanon-Israel conflict.

The meeting was hosted by the Russian Defense Ministry

"The parties exchanged views on the current situation with regard to the escalation in the Lebanon-Israel conflict. They agreed that the conflict should be resolved solely through political and diplomatic means, while Israeli forces should be immediately withdrawn from Lebanon so that efforts could be made to find peaceful ways to resolve the Middle East conflict," the ministry said in a statement.
