Russian voters abroad face unprecedented rights violations — election commission chair

Ella Pamfilova stressed that many officials and politicians are under sanctions

MOSCOW, March 14. /TASS/. Russian citizens who want to vote in the Russian presidential election abroad are facing an unprecedented cynical violation of their rights, Russian Central Election Commission (CEC) Chairwoman Ella Pamfilova said.

According to her, setting up polling stations abroad required enormous efforts. "Because all of this is happening against the backdrop of an unprecedented cynical violation of the rights of ordinary, I emphasize, ordinary Russian citizens," she pointed out.

The election commission chair stressed that many officials and politicians are under sanctions. "What do ordinary citizens have to do with it?" she said.
