Russian forces slowly taking back Rabotino — politician

"For about two weeks the Russian troops were taking one, two, three, sometimes four strongholds every day, step by step," Vladimir Rogov said

MOSCOW, February 19. /TASS/. Russian forces continue to take Ukrainian strongholds outside Rabotino in the Zaporozhye Region as they seek to regain the strategic advantage there, said Vladimir Rogov, the chairman of the "We are together with Russia" movement.

"For about two weeks our troops were taking one, two, three, sometimes four strongholds every day, step by step. Since the end of last week, they have become more active, using artillery, MLRS, heavy flamethrower systems and so on. We are hurling everything that way. The enemy’s losses are increasing," he said on NTV television. "The Rabotino bulge is now simply being evened out. The greater symbolism of Rabotino is that this is their [Ukraine's] big win from this summer’s so-called counteroffensive."

Rogov earlier said Russian forces had moved forward by 100 meters to 1.5 kilometers at the section of the engagement line near the Verbovoye and Rabotino settlements. He also said the enemy was facing the threat of losing the Rabotino bulge, which spans the area between the settlements of Nesteryanka and Novopokrovka in the Zaporozhye Region.
