Participants from 24 countries connected to Bank of Russia’s Financial Messaging System

Alla Bakina emphasized that efforts to onboard new participants will continue

MOSCOW, April 2. /TASS/. Friendly nations continue to join the Bank of Russia’s Financial Messaging System (SPFS). As of the end of 2024, the SPFS had 177 foreign participants from 24 countries, according Director of the National Payment System Department at the Bank of Russia Alla Bakina.

"Foreign partners from our friendly nations, despite the current circumstances, are showing interest in engaging with Russia’s payment infrastructure. Non-resident entities continue to join our SPFS system. At present, the system includes 177 foreign participants from 24 countries," she said.

Bakina emphasized that efforts to onboard new participants will continue.

According to the Bank of Russia’s report, as of the end of 2024, SPFS users included 584 organizations, while the volume of messages exchanged within the system increased by 23% year-on-year compared to 2023 traffic.
