Kiev redeploys fresh air defense forces to Chasov Yar, says LPR officer

LUGANSK, April 6. /TASS/. Russian forces spotted the arrival of fresh Ukrainian air defense forces and capabilities to the Kiev-controlled settlement of Chasov Yar in the Donetsk People’s Republic, Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR) people’s militia retired Lieutenant-Colonel Andrey Marochko told TASS on Thursday.

"In the area of the settlement of Chasov Yar, the arrival of fresh enemy air defense forces and capabilities was observed. They arrived with surface-to-air mounts, various man-portable air defense systems and drone jamming stations," he said.

The LPR retired officer earlier told TASS that Ukrainian troops were redeploying reserve equipment and personnel from Artyomovsk (called Bakhmut in Ukraine) to the Krasny Liman area.

Chasov Yar is located in the north of the Donetsk People’s Republic, about 11 km west of Artyomovsk and 25 km south of Kramatorsk. As the republic reported, placing Chasov Yar under the control of Russian forces is a major tactical objective that will make it possible to protect the southern flanks of advancing units in the Artyomovsk area.
