Kremlin refutes accusations of missile attack on apartment block in Dnepropetrovsk

It is noted that military targets - both evident and obscure - have been attacked

MOSCOW, January 16. /TASS/. Russian forces have not been attacking residential buildings, while Ukraine has already said that a building collapse in Dnepropetrovsk was caused by an air defense counterattack, Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.

"The Russian armed forces have not been delivering strikes on residential buildings or social infrastructure facilities. Military targets - both evident and obscure - have been attacked," Peskov said. "You could see statements by some [Ukrainian] officials about that tragedy [in Dnepropetrovsk] having been caused by an air defense counterattack," he added.

Late on January 14, Ukraine’s Presidential Aide Alexey Arestovich said a residential building had partially collapsed in Dnepropetrovsk following a Ukrainian air defense counterattack.
