Russian army’s pullback hard decision to make — Kherson’s acting governor

Vladimir Saldo stressed that the right cause was an imperative to make decisions that would allow the taking back of control over the entire territory of the new regions of Russia in the future

MOSCOW, November 10. /TASS/. The Kherson Region’s Acting Governor, Vladimir Saldo, at a meeting with a visiting delegation from the LDPR faction in the State Duma on Thursday, said the redeployment of Russian troops to the left bank of the Dnieper was a hard decision to make. At the same time, he added that in the future, control over the entire territory of the new regions of Russia would be retaken.

"Once again, our land, soaked with the blood of many generations, is in turmoil. Once again, we have to make difficult decisions. But we know for sure: justice will be served, because it is worth fighting for. And we know for sure that what we are doing is for a just cause," the LDPR’s press service quotes Saldo as saying.

He stressed that the right cause was an imperative to make decisions that would allow the taking back of control over the entire territory of the new regions of Russia in the future.

"The people who live here hope for this. They believe in it," Saldo added. On November 9, Russian Defense Minister Sergey Shoigu, following a proposal from the commander of the army group involved in the special military operation, Sergey Surovikin, ordered the pullback of Russian troops in the Kherson Region from the right bank of the Dnieper, where the city is located, to the left bank. Surovikin stressed that the Russian army had successfully repulsed Ukrainian attacks. The decision to withdraw forces was due to the threat of the group’s isolation, which might occur should territories downstream from the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant become flooded. He said that all civilians who wished to leave - more than 115,000 - have already been evacuated from the right bank.
