DONETSK, February 28. /TASS/. A Donetsk’s northern suburb has come under intense shelling by Ukrainian troops, a Donetsk News Agency correspondent reported from the site.
"Donetsk’s Kievsky district has come under shelling. Fire is observed near a public transport station in Panfilov Avenue. People are hiding in bomb shelters," he reported.
Apart from that, a multi-storey residential compound in Panfilov Avenue has reportedly caught fire. These reports however have not yet been verified.
The situation along the contact line in Donbass deteriorated dramatically on the morning of February 17. The Donetsk and Lugansk People‘s Republics reported the most massive bombardments by the Ukrainian armed forces over the past months. Casualties among civilians and damages to civil infrastructure facilities have been reported.
