BANGKOK, March 28. /TASS/. At least 300 people were injured as a result of collapses caused by a powerful earthquake in Myanmar, the New York Timeshttps://www.nytimes.com/ (NYT) newspaper reported, quoting hospital officials in the country's second largest city, Mandalay.
"More injured people keep arriving, but we do not have enough doctors and nurses," said Dr. Kyaw Zin. "The cotton swabs have almost run out."
The paper said 20 people died.
Earlier, Myanmar was hit by a powerful earthquake. According to various sources, its magnitude ranged from 7.7 to 7.9. It was followed by a second earthquake which registered at magnitude 6.4.
