DUBAI, January 22. /TASS/. A blaze broke out at an oil terminal in the Iranian city of Ray, where about 18,000 metric tons of oil are stored, the Mehr news agency reports, citing the National Petroleum Distribution Company’s director.
A firefighter involved in efforts to extinguish the blaze told the agency that the situation was under control as the fire had been contained.
According to the company’s statement, it was a small liquefied natural gas tank that ignited. The incident resulted in no casualties or damage. Emergency personnel and firefighting teams are working at the site.
