No patients in building of Moscow’s COVID-19 hospital where oxygen pipe ruptured

The press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s department for Moscow told TASS that the facility had not been put into operation yet

MOSCOW, November 18. /TASS/. There were no patients in the building of Moscow’s Kommunarka hospital where an oxygen pipe burst, as it is being renovated, a source with emergency services told TASS on Wednesday.

"There were no patients in the hospital building where the oxygen line depressurized, as it is being renovated," he said.

The press service of the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s department for Moscow told TASS that the facility had not been put into operation yet.

"There is no fire. There were no people in the building. There were no reports about casualties," the spokesperson said.

A source told TASS that an oxygen pipe had burst on Wednesday night at a makeshift facility of the Kommunarka hospital in Moscow, which treats patients infected with COVID-19. The incident is not believed to affect the hospital’s operation. The pipe rupture damaged the outer panels on the facility.
