NIZHNY NOVGOROD, April 2. /TASS/. The Sollers Transmission Manufacturing plant has started serial production of manual transmissions designed for the Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickup trucks equipped with gasoline engines, according to an announcement published on the Telegram channel of the Zavolzhye Engine Plant.
"At the Sollers Transmission Manufacturing plant, mass production has begun for three models of manual transmissions. The new six-speed manual gearboxes will be installed in the Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickups with gasoline engines, as well as in the Sollers Atlant all-metal vans featuring a 1.9-liter diesel engine," the statement said.
These transmissions will expand the current lineup of produced units, which are already used in various modifications of the Sollers Atlant with 2.7-liter engines, diesel versions of the Sollers Argo, and the Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickup trucks.
The modifications to these transmissions represent a further evolution of the base versions, the production of which was launched at the plant in February 2024 with the support of the Industrial Development Fund.
Since 2023, Sollers Group has invested over 2 bln rubles ($23.74 mln) in a comprehensive program for the development of the Zavolzhye Engine Plant’s industrial site, which includes the establishment of powertrain and transmission production, as well as the advancement of foundry projects.
