DONETSK, July 18. /TASS/. Russian forces have improved their positions in the direction of Slavyansk, Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Head Denis Pushilin told TASS.

"Our troops have begun pushing the enemy beyond the Seversky Donets River and the Seversky Donets-Donbass Canal, and we have already achieved certain successes there," Pushilin said.

He emphasized that the liberation of Slavyansk would not be easy.
